Alissa Arford is a results-oriented senior-level marketing communications professional living in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C., metro area. For the past 18 years, Alissa worked at the University of Maryland’s College Park campus, specializing in online marketing communications solutions. Before that, she lived in Dallas, Texas, and worked as a website manager and communications specialist at the Automotive Service Association, where she had a monthly magazine column about online marketing.
In her most recent position at UMD’s Robert H. Smith School of Business as “Director of Online Strategy,” she worked closely on website design and usability, search engine optimization (SEO), Google Analytics, social media and email marketing, content strategy, and video production.
With a bachelor’s degree from UMD’s top-ranked Philip Merrill College of Journalism, Alissa considers herself first and foremost a writer. She also has an executive MBA from UMD’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. The EMBA program at Maryland is consistently ranked as one of the best in the world.

Alissa is currently looking for a full-time job convenient to Howard County, Md. She is not doing any consulting work at the moment but is volunteering her time and marketing expertise to worthy causes.
